Surin Fernando is responsible for leading the Customer Solutions Centre at Mastercard in Australasia. His team of technology professionals execute Mastercard’s mission to use technology and expertise to make payments safer, simpler and smarter.
Previously, Mr. Fernando led the PayPal/Braintree sales team in Australia/NZ, where he helped scale PayPal across retail and non-retail verticals, alongside supporting the go to market of Braintree & Paydiant in the market.
Prior to joining PayPal, Mr. Fernando spent several years working with e-commerce retailers and start-ups, including raising over a $1M in seed capital as a co-founder. Mr. Fernando spent over 10 years at Westpac across their Institutional and Business Banking teams supporting large acquiring clients and multinationals.
Mr. Fernando holds a Masters of Business Administrations (MBA) from Macquarie Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Business (BBus).
