Ian is the General Manager Data and Analytics (CDO) for Bendigo and Adelaide Bank. In this role, Ian leads the Group Data Office, with a focus on enabling a data-driven culture and capabilities across the Bank. His responsibilities include defining and leading the Group’s data and analytics strategy, embedding data management and governance practises, sponsoring the data transformation and modernisation program, nurturing data-driven culture and literacy, enabling the organisation through access to data and analytics, and driving value from data through an enterprise analytics and AI centre of excellence.
Ian has a dual degree in Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Melbourne, and a Diploma in Project Management. Before joining Bendigo and Adelaide Bank in 2009, Ian spent 15 years in industry and consulting roles across technology, project management, business process optimisation and customer experience, including 3 years working in London UK. He has undertaken a range of roles at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, including Program Director of the enterprise CRM platform and customer master data solution, establishment of the customer insight and analytics function, leadership of the Customer Voice division focused on customer research and experience, delivery of the Open Banking (CDR) strategy and platform, and more recently leadership of the Customer and Data Enablement practice in Technology.
Based in the Macedon Ranges in regional Victoria with his family of 3 daughters, Ian balances his time between the Bendigo, Melbourne, and Home offices.
