The first robo-advice fintech conference in New Zealand will be held in Auckland in November.
KiwiSaver expert Binu Paul has organised New Zealand’s first fintech conference, which will feature industry speakers including Commerce Minister Paul Goldsmith. The focus of the conference will be on insurance, financial advice and funds management.
“[People] just want to go to an app and type in their details and get some advice,” Goldsmith said.
“On roboadvice we have taken things slow, but our eco-system is small enough to take changes on board.”
Goldsmith said that New Zealand was well-positioned to be successful in the global fintech space and was already well into the process of establishing an innovation focus within its finance sector.
