KPMG is making a solid step forward in the innovation game, announcing the appointment of a new chief information officer and introducing a new position.

Former ANZ and UXC Ltd employee Craig Wishart has been appointed to the role of chief information officer (CIO) at KPMG, replacing Anthony Stevens.

Stevens has moved across to the newly-created position of chief digital officer, with the new role and Wishart’s appointment a clear indication of an innovation-focused agenda.

KPMG chief financial officer Damian Templeton said that Wishart’s diversity of professional experience would stand the firm in good stead moving forwards.

“Craig Wishart is very well placed to lead our IT Services team with his extensive experience and cross-industry exposure,” he said.

“He has significant global expertise and is highly regarded for his could platform, security and risk and ICT transformation capabilities.”
